About Planegrazy
Planegrazy started with a simple obsession: airplanes.
What began as one journalist’s habit of photographing aircraft from terminal windows turned into a full aviation and travel publication. We cover airline industry news, review premium cabin products, break down the best travel destinations, and follow the technology shaping the future of flight.
Who We Are
Planegrazy is run by James Whitfield, an aviation journalist and private pilot who has spent over 15 years covering the airline industry. From the flight deck of a Cessna 172 to the first class suite of a Singapore Airlines A380, James brings a perspective that combines technical knowledge with real passenger experience.
We are based in Europe but cover aviation globally. Our focus is on delivering accurate, well-researched content that goes beyond press releases and surface-level reporting.
What We Cover
Airlines: Route launches, fleet decisions, cabin product updates, and the business strategies behind the world’s biggest carriers.
Travel & Destinations: City guides, airport reviews, and destination features written by someone who has actually been there.
Aviation Industry: Manufacturing competition between Boeing and Airbus, sustainable aviation fuel developments, new aircraft programs, and regulatory changes that affect how we fly.
Flight Reviews: Honest, detailed cabin reviews across economy, business, and first class. No sponsored fluff. If the food was bad, we say so.
Our Standards
Every article on Planegrazy is fact-checked against primary sources: airline press releases, manufacturer data, IATA statistics, and regulatory filings. When we share an opinion, we label it as one. When we cite a number, we verify it.
We do not accept payment for positive reviews. Airlines and travel brands do not have editorial input on our content.
