Finland’s airspace stays closed

Updated 16.4.2010 at 3.20 pm. According to the Finnish Meteorological Institute, the volcanic ash plume will stay above Finland several days. The development is monitored continually. The flight restrictions are approximately valid until Sunday, April 18, 3 pm.

In case your flight is cancelled, please contact your airline. Airlines ask passenger not to come to the airport.

Helsinki-Vantaa gate area will be closed. The terminal area before the security checks will remain open until further notice. Other finnish airports are closed until further notice.
