Finnair has entered into a cooperation agreement with F-Secure, the information
security company. From the beginning of November, Finnair Plus customers can
use their points to enhance their information security at the Finnair Plus Shop
website www.finnarplusshop.com. At the Finnair Plus Shop, purchases can be paid
for with cash as well as a combination of points and cash.
“The importance of information security is continually growing and we want to
offer our customers the best possible means to use electronic services
securely. In addition, we are also expanding Finnair Plus members’
opportunities to use their points,” says Finnair’s Mikko Tuomainen, Director
responsible for Finnair Plus.
Lots of Finnair customers use web services, for example when booking their
trips, working when travelling, or sharing holiday photos and greetings with
their friends.
At the Finnair Plus Shop, customers can themselves choose the proportions of
points and cash they wish to use to pay for the products they are purchasing.
From November, the Finnair Plus Shop will sell F-Secure Internet Security 2010
and F-Secure Online Backup. F-Secure Internet Security 2010 is a complete
security solution for Finnair customers’ online life. It makes sure that
surfing the Web, online banking and shopping, e-mail, and other online
activities are done securely.
F-Secure Online Backup automatically protects all the content stored on a
computer by making a copy of the content to a secure location online. If a
computer breaks down or is lost, all the backed up files can still be easily
accessed.
