Airline without a CEO
I just got back home from business trip and read some article about the company that didn’t have a CEO who should do it’s job. Now, this is something that not a single company wants, right?
But there’s one company that is running without a CEO hired. Finnair. Mr. Hienonen quit his job a while ago saying that the company needs a CEO from the communist country, labor already are from there. But the owners of Finnair haven’t managed to hire new CEO. Former front man promised to stay there while the new one is hired. But he will not do any big decisions considering the company.
So how are they doing then in Finnair? Well, labor are now on the top of every discussion about cutting jobs or pay check. They can now also say the rules how the company works. When the new CEO steps there and starts working with economy at Finnair, it will be a total mission impossible. So much damaged already in one of the oldest airline.
Let’s see how things work out in Finland. My guess is that Finnair will no longer be independent airline in two years.
