Finnair opens local language PR sites to serve media

The number of passengers in Asian traffic has doubled for Finnair in five
years. This has created a need to serve media even better than before and in a
wider range of languages in different market places. Therefore Finnair is now
in the process of opening localised PR sites to serve local media in its
destinations.
The first three sites have been opened in Swedish (www.finnairpr.com/se),
Norwegian (www.finnairpr.com/no) and German (www.finnairpr.com/de).
The aim of these sites is to provide information on Finnair for the local
media, to archive published material, to make Finnair more accessible for
journalists, and to give information on where a local Finnair PR representative
can be reached.
“Finnair has PR agencies in 20 countries. Members of the media are very welcome
to contact us directly or locally through our PR agencies,” says Finnair’s SVP
Public Affairs and Communications Christer Haglund.
All the PR offices and the new sites are listed at http://www.finnairpr.com.
Finnair offers an internet booking service in a total of 11 languages, namely
Finnish, Swedish, English, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, French,
German and Russian.
