SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ — Virgin America, the California-based airline that is reinventing domestic air travel, will help bring together speakers and attendees for The Women’s Conference on October 26-27, 2009, in Long Beach, California. As the Official Domestic Airline of the Conference, Virgin America is flying many of the event’s world-renowned speakers to Los Angeles, hosting a presence on the event floor, and bringing some of the airline’s staff to the event — including many of the start-up carrier’s female leadership, pilots and crew. Virgin America is the only California-based airline and is one of the fastest growing start-up carriers of all time. The airline has created over 1500 mainly California-based jobs since its launch.

This year’s two-day conference is expected to bring together more than 20,000 women, and will feature an extraordinary lineup of speakers, including Virgin Group Founder and President Sir Richard Branson, former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, noted journalist Katie Couric, singer Alicia Keys, and many more.
