Finland’s national carrier Finnair is to cut 120 jobs. The airline says the lay-offs will not affect services.

In addition, over 3,000 employees will be laid-off for a period of two to three weeks. The airline also plans to fire 400 temporary employees. Consultative talks are still in progress with pilots.

Finnair announced last summer it aimed to achieve savings of 25 million euros.

The airline says the lay-offs will not affect services.

Finnair proposed last spring a temporary cut in salaries in the autumn in order to attain a five percent savings in personnel expenditure.
