Finnair does not believe its flights will be affected by Thursday’s strike in France, which includes Air France personnel.

Finnair has five flights to and from Paris on Thursday, and the company expects all to run on schedule.

“We’ll have to wait and see how successful we are,” says Finnair spokeswoman Hanna-Kaisa Nurmi.

She suspects that the strike could create bottlenecks in security checks at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris.

Trouble with Transfers and Transport

Passengers are most likely to run into problems trying to use public transport or make connections via Air France.

The French airline announced it is cancelling 30 percent of short and medium haul flights from Orly airport near Paris and 10 percent from Charles de Gaulle. It will run all its long haul flights.
