Hello all, I must first say that this post is a bit of a rant for Finnish passengers.
Finnair had a lot of negative publicity in last couple of days in Finland and actually in Helsinki airport (HEL).
They had in Finland around 60 cm snow in 24 hours and when all traffic went jammed, railroads didn’t work, car accidents all around, media catches a Finnair then. Customers are blaming Finnair and airport about delays, cancellations, missing bags etc. But the main reason I’m writing these errors is Finnairs announcement, or lack of it. Customers weren’t happy about it all. They were informed if the flight was late or it was cancelled, but the staff didn’t brought their bags fast enough!
People got SMS’s about their situations, they have been given hotel rooms, there were double staff available. So what is wrong some might ask? It’s peoples rush. They have been between snow hundreds of years and suddenly they all don’t know what to do. I’m glad there wasn’t anything more serious like plane crash or something. Their bags might then have been destroyed for good. Pure luck, there was only a snow storm.
I need a cup of coffee now, if my wife brings it. If not, I will make a call to customer support. Anyone have a number?
